Women Who Suffered from Narcissistic Abuse Belong to A Sisterhood of Survivors.
When you’re in a relationship with a narcissist, the word crazy comes up a lot. Usually, it’s because the narcissist is accusing you of being crazy, or complaining about their crazy ex. Sometimes, it’s because you’re asking yourself who’s the craziest, you or the narcissist.
Crazy is a common theme for narcissists. They abuse, manipulate, and gaslight us, then tell us we’re nuts. Their goal is to alter our reality, create self-doubt, and undermine our confidence.
Over time, narcissists break us down so we actually start to feel crazy. At least when the relationship ends, we realize our sanity is pretty much intact. But we have a lot of healing to do.
Female survivors of narcissistic abuse are united by the suffering we endured. (While men can also become victims of narcissistic abuse, 85% are female.) We’ve experienced things we wouldn’t wish on our worst enemies, and we know things most people will never understand. It’s like a sisterhood of wounded souls. Or a Sisterhood of Crazy Chicks.
Crazy Chicks are warriors, and we have the emotional battle scars to prove it. We’re strong women who sometimes feel weak, yet we don’t give up. Though we endured unspeakable acts of cruelty, our compassion is intact, and our empathy is off the charts.
Recovering from narcissistic abuse is a difficult journey down a long, winding road. It’s filled with speed bumps, dead-ends, and treacherous U-turns. Some days, you wonder if you’ll ever get to the end, but you know you can’t stop. Otherwise, the risk of becoming a victim again is too high.
I’m over four years into my healing journey, and I’m no longer ashamed for becoming a victim. In fact, I feel empowered to be a survivor. I think it’s time for all members of the sisterhood to embrace who we are. To celebrate our strengths. And what better way to do that than with great-looking fashion?
It’s Time for Survivors of Narcissistic Abuse to Celebrate Our Strengths.
Hence, the Crazy Chicks Fashion Collection. It’s fashion with a purpose, and for a cause. The purpose is to remind survivors of narcissistic abuse that we are strong, courageous women. And the cause is to help raise awareness of the dangers of narcissists.
Now, without further ado, I present …
